<p>Biometrica Systems is excited to announce the next version of Visual Casino 8 - Visual Casino 8.1! This latest version includes a host of bug fixes and enhancements to existing features. This version will be the first version of Visual Casino that is 64-bit; enhancing the performance and usability of the application for everyone in Windows 11.</p>
<h3>Visual Caino Insider Program</h3>
<p>Along with this latest version, Biometrica Systems is excited to announce the insider program. Workstations enrolled in the insider program will receive updates one week before they are generally available to all customers. This is a great way for IT departments and surveillance rooms to test drive the next version of Visual Casino before all of the operators update to it so that surveillance operators can hit the ground running with new features. If you wish to enroll a workstation in the insider program, please reach out to support@biometrica.com to receive the instructions on how to update the workstation to receive the updates.</p>
<h3>Latest Features</h3>
<p>The biggest announcement is the upgrade of facial detection and facial recognition for XLST and CID. Image searches against your local and our remote datasets will now detect more faces in your candidate images and take advantage of the improvements a 64-bit environment can provide. We do plan additional enhancements to this system in the coming year, so stay tuned to for those as well.</p>

<p>As of now, we will no longer provide application updates, bug fixes, or security patches for Visual Casino 7. We strongly recommend upgrading to Visual Casino 8 (VC8) as soon as possible.</p>
<h3>Service Connectivity Deadline</h3>
<ul>
<li>September 30, 2025, is the final day Visual Casino 7 will maintain official connectivity to SIN and CID.</li>
<li>Starting midnight on October 1, 2025, you may no longer be able to receive SSIN messages or access CID updates.</li>
<li>To maintain service continuity, you must upgrade to VC8 before October 1.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Upgrade Process</h3>
<ul>
<li>Most customers only need to download the VC8 installer and coordinate installation with their internal IT teams.</li>
<li>Once VC8 is installed and running, you can safely uninstall Visual Casino 7 at your convenience.</li>

We are aware of this occurrence and are working to streamline the display of unique results.</p>

As a result, some text searches may not have completed successfully or returned incomplete data - specifically new data ingested during the outage period may not have surfaced during searches performed during this period. The issue at the hosting provider was resolved at 2:22 PM PT and our data services have recovered.</p>
<p>Searches performed between approximately 10:00 AM PT and 2:30 PM PT may need to be re-executed as a result of the service disruption if it is suspected that a person's record would have been ingested during this period.</p>

            <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>The SSIN network received a corrupt SSIN alert on 2022-08-07 at around 1AM PT; rather than transmit this corrupt message, it triggered an error. For some SSIN recipients, this error was properly handled; for others this corrupt alert caused them to not be able to load their alert lists. The corrupted SSIN alert has been corrected. Effected users should quit and re-open Visual Casino to resolve the issue.</p>
